Knowledge Wall Master Class
Sita Magnuson and Alicia Bramlett will be hosting an intensive 5-day workshop on the design and creation of large-scale knowledge walls in Easthampton, Massachusetts.
This workshop will build on our ongoing community development work, and our experimentation relating to youth and elder leadership, civic engagement, economic mobility and social infrastructure. We’ll be writing about these efforts soon, and look forward to sharing our new work with you!
The content we will use will come directly from a large-scale public engagement process we are hosting/designing/facilitating with the City of Easthampton–the Easthampton Futures Project. https://easthamptonfutures.org/
The knowledge wall we create will serve as the anchor for a community celebration on September 21st. Members of the team are invited to stay to see how their work is used in a community context.
We are still finalizing the numbers, but assume the price will be somewhere int he $3500-$4000 range. We have a small amount of funding to put towards scholarship, and are actively raising funds to help defray costs for people to ensure this learning is accessible to as many as possible. More on that here: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/dpict
This workshop will involve woodworking, visuals harvesting and synthesis, large scale visualization, immersive installation creation and other creative exploration.
